What happens when you file bankruptcy??
Do the government give you money after filing bankruptcy? What happens to your debts?
Just for my knowledge.
I filed for bankruptcy about a year ago.
I filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. I qualified for Chapter 7 because I made below a certain income.
The government does not give you any money at all. I have never heard of this happening.
All of my debts were discharged and I am now debt free.
Certain debts cannot be discharged, such as debts for taxes, fines, child support and student loans.
