January – December 2009 Crime Stats Update
The Birmingham Police Department reports today that we held steady with a reduction in crime throughout 2009. Birmingham Police Chief A.C. Roper states, “We’ve experienced a double digit decrease in major crimes this year in spite of a bad economy and these results are due to enhanced community support and the commitment of our dedicated employees.”
