bankruptcy affect financial aid
would it affect my son’s financial aid if we go bankrupt?
My son is going to college next year, he is going to be applying for scholarships and financial aid, but we are in debt and are considering bankruptcy. What do you recommend? will it affect him?
It will not have a bearing on his eligibility unless any other Federal loans are going to be included in the bankruptcy. You and your husband will still have to provide a valid income tax form (forms) to receive his eligibility amounts for grants and loans.
