looking for information concerning exempt and seizable assets under a bankrupty application – particularly RRIFs.
Life Insurance & Segregated Funds (RSP/RRSP/RRIF) are creditor protected under the insurance act as long they were purchased before you claimed bankruptcy. Its important to note that if you were contimplating bankruptcy, and you then purchase the contracts, then claim bankruptcy, then the courts could still seize them.
