If you are in a job field where background and credit checks are the norm… you will have a problem… they don’t like to see Bankruptcies either. You may have to take a job that does not require the credit check. Lower your job expectations…
To file for BK – look in the phone book and find a bankruptcy lawyer and set up an appointment. The lawyer has to evaluate first whether you are a candidate for BK and what the best course of action is.
