What does docket number 88M1 stand for?

like B88 stands for Bankruptcy, what is 88M

Yahoo Answers reaches millions of people all over the world. Without knowing what court you’re referring to, it’s unlikely very many of those people will know what you’re talking about.

As an example, in the county where I work, that docket number would mean nothing because it would not exist. In some other county, it might mean a 1988 misdemeanor case with only one charge. Another county might consider that docket number to represent the type of case (88) and then the degree of misdemeanor charge (misdemeanor battery, first degree).

Long story short; you’ve really got to tell people where you’re seeing this number. Not all courts in the US use the same numbering scheme…and that assumes you’re asking about a court in the US!
