what kind of information do I have to have to be pre approved?
I am FIRST time home buyer married stable. decent income.
Never on bankruptcy, never been on collections etc.
What do I need to bring to get pre approved and is the same with all banks or ones Better that others?
What you want to receive is a pre-qualification, not a pre-approval.
Ask friends and family members for a suggestions of a local lender. Please resist the temptation to use an internet lender, it can be an extremely frustrating process, especially for a FTHB.
