bankruptcy green card
can a green card holder(permanent resident) file for bankruptcy?
thanks for the response. however if i file for bankruptcy and then file for citizenship after a year or so will it affect my application/immigration status?
Legal Permanent Residents, LPR, have almost all the same rights as United States Citizens. One of the things they cannot do is vote for president, and held certain jobs (like law enforcement jobs). So, yes they can filed for bankruptcy.
