bankruptcy guns
a question about bankruptcy please help?
hi there here is the thing my husband owns fire arms and we put it on the papers but we didnt enclose how much value or how much they are worth we also didnt put down how many we have. and they are requesting info on them the thing is can we just say oh we were confused and say my borther in law ownes them or will they find out that the guns are registerd to my hubby i dont want to lie but i dont want to give up the guns we are not living a lavish lifestyle we only have two dressers and two tv’s one bed and two cribs with two couches and a table that is it do you think they can make him give them up what to do please help only honest answers please
Give a ballpark figure or ask the local sporting goods store they can give you an estimate. Filing bankruptcy is sad but they won’t make you give up anything like that. The only things they might take is a car if you own on it.. and the house. but that is only a Chapter 7.. a Chapter 13 you keep it all and just pay the court the amount you owe each month. If you own your home the bank will own it now and if you want to sell it you have to get the courts permission to do so.
