Question about bankruptcy?
My husband filed bankruptcy year 2000. We were not married at that time we married year 2004. He owed $133,000 dollars that’s why he filed bankruptcy. He didn’t mentioned about his bankruptcy with me, I just found out when I view his credit report history and all his debts. My question is, somebody told me about filed bankruptcy, as a wife, in the future when I’m going to work the government might take a big amount of tax with my salary because I’m also affected with my husband bankruptcy. Why do I carry the burden of my husband and I don’t even spend those money he owed I’m not yet married with him at that time he filed bankruptcy. I’m not working yet, they say in the future, the government will going to take money what he owes by raising our tax. It’s just like I’m the one now paying for my husband’s debts and loans that I don’t even know and spend. My husband is a fireman in Detroit and four years more he will going to retire and in the future I’m the one who will going to work
