bankruptcy meaning

Bankruptcy mean discharge from the military?
If i file for Chapter 13 bankruptcy, will I get discharged from the army?
No – you won’t be. UNLESS you continue to decline financially, and reneg on debts. You can be discharged for indebtedness.
As long as you are taking steps to correct yourself financially, and showing diligence, you’ll be ok.
Most units have a financial advisor – and ACS has financial management assistance available (all Army – other branches??)
Just keep your chain of command informed with what is going on.
