bankruptcy new jersey court

Does chapter 7 bankruptcy clear my fines and civil judgements in new jersey?
I want to file chapter 7 but I’m not sure if it will wipe out my court fines and my civil judgements aginst me. I’m trying to get my license back and can’t afford all the fines and surcharges nj gives u. How much does it cost also?
Chapter 7 will discharge all unsecured debts including judgments arising from them (ie, credit card debt). The license thing raises a few red flags. If your license was revoked due to a DUI, bankruptcy won’t help you. If your license was revoked due to liability incurred in an auto accident with no extenuating circumstances or personal injury involved, it will. Court fines and penalties will not be discharged. Neither will student loans, child support or back taxes.
The costs for filing bankruptcy can vary, but for a Chapter 7, plan on paying around $1500 to $2000 depending on the complexity of the case.
