bankruptcy objection
Last Day for objections?

I filed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, and I checked the Status on PACER, and it tells me the last day for objecting the discharge is 5/9/2008 So does this mean that my BK will be discharged, as long as no one objects?

As stated above, yes, no objections and the court will send a letter of discharge to your lawyer. That should arrive about two weeks after the discharge date listed. Your lawyer will forward the copy of discharge to you. KEEP THE DISCHARGE. Make copies of it. You will be getting notices and letters in the upcoming months from the debtors for payment. It is an old trick that collection agencies will use. They will take discharged debts from creditors and attempt to get you to pay. They keep a larger percentage of what ever they can get then. Just give them the name of your attorney and tell them to refer all debts to him/her. But your letter of discharge is what proves you are free of those debts.

I hope this is helpful to you. Best of luck
