Amp’d Mobile Bankruptcy?
I would call them, but apparently they fired all of their customer service people. Does anyone know what happens after July 31st? Will I my phone work? What happens to my number, etc?

Amp’d has decided to liquidate their assets. Shortly after 8/1, they will cease to exist, however there is a strong chance that Verizon (one of their biggest creditors) will absorb their customers. This means that they will probably go out of their way to keep any existing customers on via deals and incentives. I would wait and see.
There is a chance, however, for a disruption of service. If you greatly rely on you mobile, you might get another “temporary” one without a long term contract until this plays out. Helio offers pay as you go plans.
