What do you think of this IDEA?
Ok, so you know how if you file for bankruptcy, it stays on your record for like 8 years and you cant take out any loans. So my thought would be, I have 50,000+ in student loans which would take me at least 30 years to pay off. Y not just file for bankruptcy and be debt free and be stuck in a whole for 8 years???
I wouldnt actually do this, but does pose for an interesting idea
Student loans are not eligible for bankruptcy so you would not be able to file for those. The bankruptcy rules got more strict a few years ago so now it’s allot harder to get debts relieved. I think they are now leaning to making you still pay just no interest can be added on and it’s like a consolation type thing through the courts.
