bankruptcy trustees oregon
statute of limitations for bankruptcy trustee?
we filed bankruptcy in 2005. the trustee still has yet to dispurse funds after collecting cash from our bank account, a tax refund, and 3 vehicles. She states she is having a problem getting a lost title on the 3 vehicles, but it has been over 1 year, and i know it does not take that long. Is there a limit to how long she can take to do this. I could swear I read about it somewhere..BTW, this is in Oregon
Bankruptcy law is federal, not state dependent. Trustees take as long as they need to – and the number of cases they have can make a huge difference.
I’d note that situations like this rarely occur outside of pro se cases.
