bankruptcy without discharge
If you file for bankruptcy and it hasn’t been discharged can you still move out of state for a work transfer?
I filed in january and had court at the end of March. My attorney says i will receive my discharge papers within 6months. Now my company has offered me a transfer to arizona which i had applied for before the whole bankruptcy issue. Do i wait till i have my paperwork and miss the chance of a lifetime or can i go without the official discharge?
No, if you are to make payments on your bankrupcy just be sure all parties have your current/new address and be sure to make the payments scheduled each month and on time.
Just be sure to contact your attorney and tell you you will be transfering locations for work so she can forward you all court documents you will need.
