does bankruptcy erase judgments
Chapter 7 Bankruptcy question?
When you file chapter 7 bankruptcy (in NJ), does it also erase any judgments that are entered against you in the courts? Thanks for any help.
Yes, It will eliminate ALL judgements except govermental ones, such as IRS back tax judgements and child support judgements…ALL other ones will be written off and it will immediately stop all court and judgement proceedings as soon as you file.
