Did you know that a shocking 96% of New Year’s Resolutions are not fully put to action, and as a result end up complete failures?
If your New Year’s Resolution was to fortify your business, you’re in luck. In this article, I will point out at least 11 practical, effective plans that you can implement into your business right away. You’ll come out a top player in your specific target market—leaving your competition way behind, and making it virtually impossible for them to catch up to you!
The trick is to focus on the rhythmic pulse of your own business.
Nobody knows more about your business than you do, and nobody else can advise you about sustaining and growing your business without knowing the numbers.
2009 is the year to make your business burst-proof —never allowing outside forces to burst your bubble!
Let me explain…
11. Promote Your Brand As The Best In The Industry: Regardless of whether you’re just starting off, or have been doing business for a while, always treat your products and services as top notch. Strive to make every aspect of your business better.
Every time you do, your audience will get the message and position your brand higher and higher—making your business their first choice above others, even in an economic crisis.
10. Offer Your Lowest Priced, Most Converting Offer as Your Front End: Online business growth completely and solely depends on your ability to generate leads. Your front end product must be a product, service, or even a free offer that converts the easiest and fastest.
A low priced, high-demand product or a free trial would be ideal in generating hordes of subscribers for your master list.
9. Implement Your Best Ideas As Soon As Possible: It’s simple—money likes speed. As an entrepreneur, you probably come up with new product ideas, or ideas for improvement on a daily basis.
Unfortunately, ideas that are not implemented right away are useless. Make it a point to apply your ideas as fast as you can!
When you start immediately putting your ideas into action, you’ll see revenue coming in to your business from multiple sources. Therefore, your business will continue to thrive despite sales dry spells.
8. Double Your Promotions – Law of Averages: First and foremost, if your business does not have a daily marketing schedule already in place, make it point to establish one immediately. Most routine marketing tasks can be automated, and there’s no good reason not to do it!
If you already have a daily marketing schedule in place, then double it. It’s basic law of averages—if you reach 250 prospects per day, you may have to ramp it up to 500 to see twice the same results…especially during slow times.
7. Focus Your Available Time On Your Business: Sometimes when sales slow down, we tend to spend thousands of dollars and most of our time on other people’s theories and courses. This is great if you have done everything necessary to improve your business and did not succeed, or if you are completely lost.
The truth is, if you look at your previous business trends, you will know what to do. I recommend focusing your available time, energy, and money on your business.
6. Make Your Website More User-Friendly: There are always improvements that you can make to your website, landing page, follow up messages, etc.
The more you improve on these factors, the better your lead conversions and the longer your visitors will remain on your website.
5. Focus On List Building: When you build your list, you are essentially writing yourself a check for the future. It is widely believed that each subscriber is worth $1 per month in revenue for the list owner.
It really depends on your particular price point and marketing techniques. In my estimation, a subscriber is worth exponentially more than $1!
4. Over-Deliver On Your Promises: Every product makes a promise to its user—at least it should make a promise. Surprise your clients by over-delivering on these promises.
If your product doesn’t allow you the luxury of over-delivering, give your client a phone call and thank him for his support. That’ll be a pleasant surprise in this cyber age.
3. Drive Traffic from Multiple Channels and Distributors: There are a number of channels where you can drive traffic to your website from. If it’s reliable, and converting reasonably, then keep it coming from different channels and distributors.
2. Track and Measure Every Aspect Of Your Business: Without knowing exactly where you stand, you are unable to improve on anything. Track, measure, analyze, and project every aspect of your business.
At the very least, track the essentials: traffic, conversions, revenue, and expenses.
Which brings me to my last and final point…
1. Never Stop Your Best Producing Traffic Source: This may be the single most consequential mistake that any marketer could make when sales slow down, yet many other marketers (soon to be industry leaders!) are advertising, and reaching more people in their markets.
Advertising rates are crashing down, so marketers can reach double, or even triple the number of people! Build your lists faster, generate more leads, and make more sales—simply by spending a fraction of the original price.
Don’t Let Fear Burst Your Bubble In 2009
Many small businesses and entrepreneurs today are in the process of cutting their advertising budgets. They’re preparing to weather the economic storm by spending significantly less on their businesses…and they will miss out on a massive opportunity because of it.
As Warren Buffett said: “Get greedy when others are fearful, and fearful when others are greedy.” Open your eyes, and seize the major opportunities that are going to present themselves in 2009! Who knows, you may never get the chance to again.

Why is the unemployment rate in France always much higher than in the rest of Europe?
And by “rest of Europe”, I mean not just the UK but even countries with poorer economic records than France, such as Italy.
I have some explanations in mind (attitude of French companies towards graduates, etc.) but would like to know yours. In May 2009, an article in the Economist claimed that France was resisting the financial crisis better than most countries; just two months later, unemployment had risen to 9.4%, compared to 7.9% in the UK, which had supposedly been more affected by the crisis.
