The Great Recession Hoax, Part One: Gordon Brown And The Deliberate Recession
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s recent remark that the dire impact of the current economic crisis on the lives of so many people is “just the birth-pains of a new global order” or some such irresponsible claptrap prompted some sections of the British press to wonder if the Prime Minister had lost his marbles.
Maybe he has: certainly it is alarming to witness such blithe admission of criminal conspiracy being uttered by the man at the helm of an entire nation. I’ve just lost my job, my company has shut down and I can’t pay my mortgage or my grocery bill but Mr Brown isn’t worried: my suffering is “merely” the birth-pains of a “new global order.” Oh well that’s all right then. I’m delighted to know my sacrifice is not in vain, that someone somewhere is doing all this for my own good.
But what “good” exactly? What economic text book is this from? What is this new global order and why has no-one seen fit either to explain it to me or even ask me if I want it? Whom will it benefit? When it is in place, who will be running the show? What will be the nature of this Promised Land and will I even like it?
Not much of an explanation from our noble leader so far, merely a hint that something or other is going on that somebody planned. Some unspecified persons with apparently global influence are rustling up some global omelet from some secret recipe book the rest of us don’t know about.
And many of we citizens evidently are the eggs that just have to be broken so that the hidden power can rustle up their piece de resistance.
I’m forced to wonder who, when the meal is finally served, will be sitting there with their feet under the dining table. I bet it isn’t me, or you dear reader, either. I’ve a feeling the destiny earmarked for most of us is with all the other broken shells in the waste bin.
Isn’t democracy wonderful?
Democracy while we are about it is – in theory – government of the people, by the people, for the people but I don’t think many of us are actually kidding ourselves that that’s what we’ve got.
In a democracy the people are supposed to be able to instruct their government. Ha Ha. How on earth are we, the people, supposed to know what instructions to give when we don’t have any reliable data on which to base those instructions?
When Prime Ministers in cahoots with unnamed and faceless powers can just go ahead and engineer recessions to achieve futures designed for us without our knowledge or consent, our democracy has become a con game

Rush’s Conspiracy Theory: Democrats Started Economic Crisis To Help Elect Obama. Could this be true?
Today, the New York Times had an article about how right-wing talk radio is gearing up to aggressively go after President-elect Obama over the next four years. Rush Limbaugh demonstrated his commitment to this crusade today on his radio show by blaming Democrats — especially Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) — for starting the current economic crisis.

No, as much as we like Obama, and wanted to get him elected, we would dislike being unemployed and broke even more. I mean who wants to live in a cardboard box and stand in line all day for free soup?
Rush, Bush, Hannity and Cheney are just dim bulbs with big mouths and rubbery lips (ugh). Their over bloated opinions do not matter to anyone with an average IQ and those of us not residing in a psychiatric hospital where conspiracy theories abound.
The economic crisis was caused by greed, corruption and the war based on lies. The Bush administration failed us with cronyism and being too stupid to run the country as it should have been run. Bush was playing war games with American lives while Cheney was given the power to do as he pleased. I am sure there are a few democratic scoundrels mixed in as well, however, Bush held the power for eight years and the buck stops there.
