How much is the fee to file for Bankruptcy in New York?
I am planning on filing bankruptcy, and I have been calling around to check the fees. But some lawyers are charging as much as $2000. is this right? Is there another aalternative fee-wise?

Chapter 7: total wash of what you owe, you will pay an attorney his fee, nothing more.
Chapter 13: His fee normally gets put as part of those you will partly pay back.
