any one know how to file bankruptcy by yourself in the state of california exempting your Workman’s comp settlement coming into you on your own since you cant afford to pay thousand dollars for them to do it for you i really don’t want my money garnished and i don’t want my settlement taken away from me what do i do some one please help me

Your paperwork will list this settlement as an asset but your paperwork official forms will have a section for “Exemptions” You will list this asset into this section. As a matter of protection place this money into a separate account and pull out the money as you use it.
