government advice bankruptcy
UK Bankruptcy (personal) do you think the Government will need to review current legislation as so many go?
this route ? Figures are at an alarming level for personal bankruptcy and I think I’m right in thinking it stays on yr record for 10 yrs? She has worked all her life and managed her money monthly as thousands do/did until made redundant before Christmas. What a difference a day makes hey ?
Do you have personal experience at all ? Will she be “blackened” for full 10 yrs or do you think that with so many declaring bankruptcy the Govt will need to review the bankruptcy legislation that is currently in place – to perhaps lower it to 5yrs?
It costs about £300+ to even get the paperwork in she said and she doesn’t even have that so how can anyone declare themselves bankrupt if they haven’t even got the money to do it? It just seems odd.
Any help / advice grateful. Pls none of this – well she shouldn’t have run up all the bills / credit etc etc. yeah yeah.
I believe that a bankruptcy will stay on your credit record for six years after it is discharged.
