look back period bankruptcy

Does chapter 13 bankruptcy look just as bad as chapter 7?
From what I understand in chapter 13, you actually pay back your creditors over a period of time but in chapter 7 the debts are not paid back. Wouldnt chapter 13 not look as bad or do they both look the same on your credit?
It depends.
In my business, auto loans a chapter 7 is actually much better then a chapter 13 because the customer has no debt and cant file again for 8-years.
Credit wise they are pretty much the same a far as lenders go. A bankruptcy is a bankruptcy is a bankruptcy.
