medical bankruptcy rules
im filing for bankruptcy… medical and other expenses. its under $100 thousand. i have a car loan…?
my car loan is for $10 thousand. attatched to that i also have a $20 thousand bill for a previous car that i traded in. i owe a ton on a car that isnt worth it. how would the rules apply to me ragarding this? will i claim the $20 thousand? both the $10 thousand and the $20 thousand? will i keep my car? will i lose my car? will i keep my car only if i keep all $30 thousand? will i keep my car with no further payments required? thanks!
You must return to the court (bankruptcy) all assets – except a 3,000 automobile for work transportation. You situation doesn’t look good for keeping a 10,000 car. Let it go, and you’ll also be throwing in the 20,000 you owe for previous car. All debts must be listed. If you’re not sure about how to fill out paperwork, go to a local Legal Aid office of help.
