medical costs bankruptcy

can anyone tell me roughly what it would cost me to file bankruptcy, i live in ohio?
i don’t own my own home or anything of any value. i work in a factory so i dont make much money. most of my debt is credit cards and medical. i have fallen on hard times and have no choice. if anyone has went thru something similar and can give me an idea of what this will cost me it will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance
Your best bet is to call 2 or 3 bankruptcy attorney’s and inquire about how much they charge, some may tell you over the phone. Each attorney is different and they charge what they want most of the time. I filed last year in MS and it cost me 1200.00 for a chapter 7 filing. If you qualify for a chapter 7, it can be roughly 800.00 to 1500.00 and a chapter 13 is more money as there is more work to the filing. I would seek counsel and find out from a few how much and go with the one that you feel the most comfortable with. Good Luck!
