Since Obama has written more books than legislation; shouldn’t he really be a writer instead of a President?

James; PLEAZZZZZZZZZZZE- Sponsoring a bill saying Joe Smoe was a “nice guy” hardly qualifies as legislation. He has not proposed a single bill which has garnered support from either side of the aisle in sufficient numbers to move to committee, much less been enacted into law – but hey; I’m sure he’s qualified to be President in your mind because he has a “D” after his name.
First, senators rarely actually write bills and there’s nothing on a bill to show who actually wrote the words, there are only sponsors and co-sponsors. Second, Obama has sponsored 129 bills this term, as well as co-sponsoring many more. McCain has only sponsored 38.

The sponsor is the person who introduced the bill. Obama has introduced/sponsored 129 bills this term, many of which have gone to committee or have been passed by the Senate. McCain has introduced/sponsored 38. There’s no way around that.
There are plenty of Democrats I would not think are qualified to be president. Moreover, I don’t think having written legislation particularly qualifies a person, but since you do, but give Obama no credit for the legislation he has written, I had to set the record straight.
