obama cell phone plan

Do you think the town hall meetings are helping or hurting Obama and Pelosi’s plans?
Do you think that it’s actually making matters worse?
Do you think those who are protesting have made a point?
Do you think that this bill will now fail?
Do you think that something else will be done? What would you like to see done?
Do you think that elections will be won or lost due to how certain politicians are handling these meetings?
Example: The senator who ignored a woman’s questions and concerns and talked on her cell phone instead of answering. Do you think she looks good now? Will she lose her next bid for office over that?
I think the House bluedogs and fiscal conservative Democrats were betrayed when conned into supporting cap and trade, going against their constituents, only to have the Senate reject it, leaving them hung out to get crucified.
I think liberals made a huge mistake assuming the protesters were all Republican conservatives, when most were actually Democrat moderates and Independents. They alienated the people who control the elections, control the direction the nation will go, by targeting the wrong group.
The bill may or may not pass in the House with a public option. In the Senate a bill including public option will die, and there will be no reform of any kind.
What would I like seen done. 1. Pharmaceuticals, health care, insurance companies must open books, give testimony and and under go scrutiny of the General Accountability Office NOT by Congress, in a regular basis
2. Transparency, including exact amount down to the penny, PAC, lobby money going into members of the Senate Finance Committee campaigns. The insurance lobby owns the committee any reform has to c pass through, and they target it.
3. Open up real competition. The insurance monopoly has created a private club, along with the ability to write laws and regulations in the the health care and insurance industry, because of lobby money paid to Congress
4 Health care providers must give same access, same settlement discounts to individuals, they give to insurers. Right now an individual will pay 2, 3, 4 times more for the exact same health care, same prescription drugs, a person with insurance is charged.
5. All ow those who cannot afford, are denied, or have no access to insurance, an opportunity to buy into Medicare on an affordability basis.
6. Many people are not aware of public assistance programs that already exist. Both on the federal and state level. Start a massive public advertising campaign, educating people of these programs. Set up a hotline assisting people to get into the programs already being funded and available top them
7. All individuals allowed to have tax deferred health savings accounts, used only for health related expenses, deductions, and co-pays.
