obama facebook statuses

What logical fallacy is this?
In an argument on my friend’s status on Facebook, I read the following post and its rebuttal. The posts were about Obama’s receiving the Nobel Peace Prize. The arguments were as follows:
Person 1: Cuba is now open (under bush you could only go to cuba under a state visit, once every 3 years, and only to visit family, under clinton it was about once a year) ps the coldwars been over…
Person 2: Cuba being more open for American travelers is not worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize. If that alone were a criterion, every airliner in America should get one, too — after all, without airliners, you can’t get to Cuba, can you?
Regardless of whether Person 1′s statements are true, doesn’t Person 2 state a fallacy in his phrase “…after all, without airliners, you can’t get to Cuba, can you?” Couldn’t one just as easily assert that without atoms, one could not get to Cuba? If this is a logical fallacy, which is it?
Thanks.
The Nobel Peace Prize can be given to non-profit organizations but not to countries. Airlines would also never be give that award.
After Fidel dies, if Cuba achieves democracy, the person who is instrumental in helping achieve that worthwhile goal could be awarded the Peace Prize.
