Does OBAMA’s tax plan fundamentally change Social Security from an earned benefit to a welfare benefit?
Currently, the system is underfunded. But it is generous to low income earners. Wouldn’t Obama’s tax policies lower (or remove all together) the S.S. contribution of the lowest income earners and replace it with income taxation of the highest wage earners? Wouldn’t this be the first time that S.S. was funded through income taxes, as opposed to S.S. taxes?

yes it does..but i think he likes the term wealth redistribution..
