An honest question for Republicans…?
OK, I though building infrastructure was a GREAT stimulus plan, to create jobs like the WPA did in the Great Depression. In fact, I am upset with Obama (and emailed him) that the stimulus plan should include more jobs and less tax credits.
However, many Republicans say this will not work, because the jobs added will not account for all the money spent, and it will prolong the Recession (for whatever reason).
However, an honset question for you guys (so be civil when you answer): What SHOULD we do to fix the infrastructure? It obviously needs it, if not RIGHT now then within a few years, tops, so how else would you propose to fix it?

I couldn’t agree more that the infrastructure needs work, but this stimulus package does not really address them all that much. Unless we are talking millions for a dog run in a D.C. park, or 250 million for redecorating the national mall, read this package it is not creating long term jobs! They are just spending money on projects that all the democrats in Washington want to do. All this does is burden all of us with a great deal of debt at a time when we a losing jobs daily. Even the money that is there for the infrastructure isn’t going to be released for 18 months! Not a help now !
Racing just type in stimulas 2009 for it in google, be prepared to get pissed !
