Anyone else having a hard time looking for a job?
I am currently working but the company I work for will be closing in 2 months due to bankruptcy. The moment the management told us about this, I’ve been looking for jobs. I feel a little pressured as I feel like there’s no progress with my job hunting. Most of the employers/agencies don’t even bother to reply to your application. And I haven’t even had a single personal interview. This is weird as last year when I moved here I found a job in 2 weeks time and had loads of interview. I also have a quite good and extensive background. I’ve revised my CV to make it simpler yet more interesting and even looked up tips for cover letters etc.
Anyone else have the same dilemma?
It’s gonna get worse before it gets better. It’s getting harder and harder even for qualified people to find a job.
Just keep praying that you run into someone who’s looking for employees! Keep your eye out the classified Ads (Especially on the Sunday paper) and look for “Now Hiring” signs in front of stores!
Most of all – don’t lose hope! Things may seem bad out there but keep trying and you might end up with a job!
I was looking for a job, and only tried Chuck E Cheese because I “might as well”. And sure enough they called a few days later! They didn’t have a “Now Hiring” sign or anything, but had actually just finished expanding the store and were going to begin looking for new employees anyway! So you never know!
