positive bankruptcy stories

Anyone have a positive bankruptcy story?
Bankruptcy isn’t always bad news…does anyone have a personal experience with bankruptcy that has a happy ending? Love to hear some good news about a banko for once. Thanks.
Well, I was rather suddenly diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder. That meant no more full-time job – and yes, I did have a fair amount of credit card debt. I can barely walk, so jobs of any kind are essentially out of the question. Bankruptcy was the only way out. It really tore me up mentally to have to default on those debts – it tore me up to the point of a nervous breakdown, suicide attempts, and hospitalization in a psych ward (twice). But the bankruptcy was approved. Now I don’t have that weight and worry hanging over my head constantly. I’m now on Social Security Disability and just lead a rather frugal life these days. So bankruptcy worked for me.
I do have my own apartment in a low-income building here in downtown Seattle. It’s actually quite nice – stone floor, thick walls (can’t hear the neighbors), and a view of the Space Needle. For me, bankruptcy (although somewhat forced upon me) was one of the best decisions I ever made.
