Can you be forced by the court in a bankruptcy case to sell your house for the equity in it in Virginia?
Is there any way for you to keep your house if it has equity in it if the equity is more than what you owe on unsecured debt.? If you keep paying the mortgage My friends say no they can’t take your house but an attorney I spoke with said they could take it …..I don’t know who to believe…help!!!!!!
yes, they can. because if the courts find out that your house can be liquidated to pay off your creditors they will. Why did you not accept the answer of the attorney and then we go ask the brokest person we know to get advice from.
