Will my tax refund be taken due to bankruptcy?
I filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy in May 2009 and it was finally discharged in December 2009. I plan on receiving a tax refund of about $2400…will this be taken due to claiming bankruptcy? I don’t know if it matters or not, but I live in KS.
If you bankruptcy trustee has not demanded a copy of the return, it is all yours.
